Elizabeth Lecron and Vincent Armstrong are American domestic terrorists from Toledo, Ohio. The pair started dating in early 2018 and became immersed in a subculture (the "True Crime Community") which sought to emulate mass murderers, lionizing, in particular, mass murderers such as those responsible for the Columbine High School massacre. The two, both 23 years old at the time, even visited the site of the 1999 high school shooting spree. Lecron wrote letters to incarcerated mass murderer Dylann Roof.[1]

Led by Lecron, who played the dominant role in the conspiracy, the two sought to bomb a local Toledo bar. They spent much of 2018 planning how to use bombs and firearms to maximize casualties. They went to the shooting range to practice their firearm skills.[2][3]

The plan fell apart when a tip was phoned in to the Toledo Police Department, which contacted the FBI.[3]

Lecron admitted to and was convicted of providing material support to terrorism. She was sentenced in U.S. District Court on November 20, 2019, to 15 years imprisonment and lifetime supervision following release.[4][5] The following month, Armstrong pleaded guilty to a lesser conspiracy charge and was sentenced on December 10, 2019, to 72 months in prison.[2]
