The Quiz with Balls is an American game show that premiered on May 28, 2024 on Fox. The series is hosted by Jay Pharoah.

Format[edit]

In each episode, 2 families of 5 compete for a chance to win up to $100,000.

The families are given 10 categories to play from. Each family will choose a category and is then asked a question that has multiple correct answers and a minimum of 1 incorrect answer. Once the family picks what they feel are the correct answers, each member will stand in front of the ball corresponding to their answer, with the lanes leading directly to a giant swimming pool. Once the answers are locked and host Jay Pharoah calls out "RELEASE THE BALLS!" all of the balls will be released down the ramps either in one move or individually as Pharoah asks for them.

The balls that correspond to a correct answer will be stopped by a pole and that player will be safe. Any player standing in front of an incorrect answer will be knocked into the pool and will be out of the game for good.

Each round has a differing dollar value for each correct answer: $1000 in Round 1, $2000 in Round 2, $3000 in Round 3, $4000 in Round 4 and $5000 in Round 5. Also, if any players are knocked out in a round, the number of correct answers per question in the following rounds decrease while the number of incorrect answers increase. In the end, whichever family has the most money accumulated or has at least 1 member left standing after all of the other family's members are eliminated will advance to the Bonus Round for a shot at $100,000. Both families will get to keep however much money they earn.

-Bonus Round-

The winning family will get to play one final question and must choose one of their remaining members to play it. The final question will have 5 correct answers and one incorrect answer. The player will step in front of each individual answer and face the result. If the player can find all 5 correct answers, they will win $100,000. If they find the incorrect answer before finding all 5, the game ends immediately and the family leaves with the money won in the main game.
