James Randall Bailey (born June 9, 1948) is a former defensive lineman who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). As a member of the Baltimore Colts, Bailey and his team won Super Bowl V.
On September 7, 1976, the 28-year old reserve defensive lineman, who had previously been in camp with the Cleveland Browns, was signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Falcons.[1] Ironically, it would be former Colts starting left defensive end Roy Hilton who was cut to make room for Bailey on the Falcons' roster.[1]
After ending his American football career, Bailey worked in gas and real estate in their business departments.[2]
