Clapham and Brixton Hill is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.
Boundaries
The constituency will comprise the following wards of the London Borough of Lambeth (as they existed in 1 December 2020):[2]
- Brixton Hill, Clapham Common, Thornton, and Tulse Hill, transferred from Streatham (to be abolished and replaced by Streatham and Croydon North)
- Clapham Town, Ferndale and Larkhall, transferred from Vauxhall (to be renamed Vauxhall and Camberwell Green)[3]
Following a local government boundary review in the Borough of Lambeth which came into effect in May 2022,[4][5] the constituency will now comprise the following from the next general election:
- The London Borough of Lambeth wards of: Brixton Acre Lane; Brixton North (majority); Brixton Rush Common (nearly all); Clapham Common and Abbeville; Clapham East; Clapham Park (nearly all); Clapham Town; St Martin's (part); Stockwell East (part); Stockwell West and Larkhall (part); Streatham Hill West and Thornton (majority); and a very small part of West Dulwich.[6]
