Biryani Brothers is a Pakistani pop music band[1] founded in early 2014 by Natasha Noorani (vocalist)[2] and Zahra Paracha (guitarist).[3]

Performances

These two women have performed in gigs at restaurants and cafes in Karachi. Their first music video[4] ‘Ikisvi Sadi’,[5] directed by Tabish Habib, was released in 2018 which pays homage to vintage Pakistani advertisements and television network. The second music video named ‘Sab Theek Ho Jaye Ga (IA) was released in April 2019.

Biryani Brothers has made a cover song of ‘Thinking Heart’ by 'Poor Rich Boy', a local music band formed by Zain Ahsan and Umer Khan.

Noorani released her single called 'TRACE'[6] in 2018 featuring Shorbanoor,[7] a Lahore-based songwriter.

About Musicians

Both women are graduates of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Noorani has a degree in political science while Paracha has it in sociology-anthropology. These two ladies were active contributors to the music society of LUMS. These talented ladies are also the founders of Lahore Music Meet,[8] a music festival held in Lahore each year.

Global Representation

The band was featured on Forbes (a global media company) in early 2018. Biryani Brothers aims to bridge the music gap in Pakistan by promoting and taking Pakistani talent all over the globe.
