The area of Amphoe Bang Rachan was the old ''Mueang'' Sing area mostly. When the government re-established ''Mueang'' Sing, the area was devided to be Amphoe Bang Phutsa(Amphoe Mueang Sing Buri recently) and Amphoe Sing. The name of the district was changed to be Bang Rachan in 1938.

The first district office was located on the right bank of the Noi river in Tambon Choeng Klat. In 1898 was moved to the left bank of the river in Tambon Sing area.

Bang Rachan(Thai:บางระจัน) is a district(Amphoe) of Singburi province, central Thailand.

The area of Amphoe Bang Rachan was the old Mueang Sing area mostly. When the government re-established Mueang Sing, the area was devided to be Amphoe Bang Phutsa(Amphoe Mueang Sing Buri recently) and Amphoe Sing. The name of the district was changed to be Bang Rachan in 1938.

The first district office was located on the right bank of the Noi river in Tambon Choeng Klat. In 1898 was moved to the left bank of the river in Tambon Sing area.
